FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions that may help:
What is the difference between Marketplace, Employer, and Private Market?
Marketplace, Affordable Care Act, and Obamacare are all terms for the same insurance platform. Marketplace are government issued plans that follow ACA guidelines which requires coverage for all pre-existing conditions.
Employer plans also follow ACA guidelines.
Private Market are privately owned insurance companies that are able to more selective about their clients based on current health standing, which allows them to provide great plans for significantly lower premiums than what you would see on Marketplace.

What if I'm healthy and don't use my insurance often?
An Approval plan may be your best option as you are provided with full coverage benefits without the hefty premium. You'll have your preventative care visits built in to your policy to keep up with maintenance visits and also benefits to cover the "what ifs". Remember, we shouldn't be worried about paying for a yearly exam, it's the accident or sickness we didn't see coming that can send us into major medical debt!

Can I sign up for coverage any time?
Yes, the Private Market offers plans all year long!

What if I only need coverage for a limited time?
You can enroll in a policy for however long you need it without a penalty for cancellation! Taking a full coverage plan even for a short time is more beneficial than going with a short term plan since you receive more coverage and usually the premium is the same.

Who qualifies for an Approval plan?
Individuals who qualify for approval plans either don't have any pre-existing conditions or they are managed with or without medication. Think high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, etc. There are plenty of pre-existing conditions that qualify for Approval plans. Schedule a free consultation and we'll determine if you qualify!

Who should look at the Private Market?
Anyone and everyone! You may be self-employed, looking for something more affordable than employer or marketplace coverage, haven't had coverage in a while, between jobs, or have a waiting period at a new job before the coverage begins. We'll be able to find a great option for you!

Do I have to enroll in a full medical policy?
Nope! We can look at medical, dental, vision, supplemental, life, critical illness, accident protection, and income protector (short term disability). Let's book a consultation to see what will work best for you!
